Believe it or not, the spring break travel period begins in late February and continues into April. For those jetting off on a getaway, here are some helpful tips to get you ready before you head to the airport.
Place the following items in your checked luggage:
Anything with a blade, including all knives, cigar cutters and corkscrews with blades
Sporting goods, including golf clubs, baseball bats, cricket bats, bows and arrows, hockey sticks and spear guns
Full-size bottles of sunscreen, tanning lotions, and insect repellant
Wine, liquor, beer, and other beverages in containers larger than 3.4 ounces
Pack these travel-friendly items in your carry-on bag:

Liquid makeup such as eyeliner, nail polish, liquid foundation and perfume
Solid deodorant
Food and snacks for your flight (such as pastries, fruits, vegetables, nuts, candy, and dry snacks)
Medications and medically-necessary items
Tweezers, files and nail clippers
Disposable shaving razors
Electric razors and trimmers, curling irons, and flat irons
